A Packed 1st Day in DC

We started our day at the Sewell Belmont House & Women's History Museum, meeting with incredibly well-informed and welcoming staff. Then we hustled to the Library of Congress, where our guide was informative, lively, and perfectly paced. It is a very beautiful building, and he made it come to life with details and anecdotes.
We met with Sam Farr in his offices, and his aide, Daniel, gave us a fascinating tour of the Capitol Building.
